9:00am - Pervasive Insight with Oracle Business Intelligence Suite by Sonja Fisher
This session will overview Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), a comprehensive and innovative next-generation BI platform that offers the best foundation for building enterprise solutions from data spanning heterogeneous data sources, including Oracle and non-Oracle systems. Oracle Business Intelligence is designed for pervasive use with new levels of usability and reach to empower the broadest audiences with complete and timely insight, and is the technology foundation for business intelligence in Oracle Fusion applications Attendees of this session will gain specific insights on Oracle BI Applications, New and Upcoming Features, as well as see a live demonstration.
Speaker Bio: With more than 14 years in the computer industry, Sonja Fisher has an extensive background in data warehousing and data modeling. In her current role at Oracle, she is involved with many key accounts promoting and delivering solutions to customers around the OBIEE and SE platforms. Prior to joining Oracle, Sonja worked as a consultant, DBA, business analyst, data modeler, partner and solution architect at industry leading companies including Information Advantage, PriceWaterhouse Coopers, BMC and Cognos. She earned undergraduate degrees in both Math and Statistics at the University of Minnesota, as well an MBA degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. Sonja is currently pursuing her doctorate in Business at Argosy University.

10:30am - Oracle Oracle Grid-Based Virtualization by Roddy Rodstein
As the volume of servers and information in data centers continues to grow exponentially, IT professionals at today's most competitive companies are faced with a myriad of challenges, key among them lowering costs while raising quality of service. Oracle is addressing these challenges with Oracle VM, a cost-effective, enterprise-class, server and desktop virtualization product that supports both Oracle and non-Oracle applications. This session will include an overview of Oracle's Grid-Based Virtualization strategy and a detailed discussion of Oracle VM and Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control.
Speaker Bio: Roddy Rodstein has over 10 years of professional experience in the IT industry. In his current role at Oracle, he is a member of the Unbreakable Linux and Oracle VM team. Before joining Oracle, Roddy spent six years at Citrix supporting the company's core product, XenApp. During his tenure with Citrex, he wrote and published the Citrix CCA MetaFrame 1.8 for Windows Exam Cram, and also published an “in the Box” series of e-Books, including Nfuse Elite in a Box, MetaFrame Secure Access Manager in a Box, MetaFrame Presentation Server for UNIX in a Box, and Citrix SmartAccess in a Box. Earlier in his career, Roddy successfully established, owned, and operated an IT consulting business that specialized in server based computing and remote access solutions. His professional achievements also extend to writing and self-publishing an industry reference guide currently available on Amazon, Securing Microsoft Terminal Services.
