Member Benefits
Oracle Education - A large number of our presentations are delivered by Oracle Personnel! Our close relationship with Oracle makes this possible. This presents our membership with the opportunity to view 'scaled down' versions of select Oracle mini-lessons and technical presentations. Our membership has the opportunity to review and discuss technical issues with a qualified Oracle representative.
Network with your peers - Just imagine meeting someone else who is confronted with the same problems or technical configurations that you deal with on a daily basis. Have you ever wondered how other companies solve (attempt to solve) the same technical problems that you encounter? Does the wheel really have to be reinvented time and time again? Come and share your experiences with other OCOUG members; sometimes all it takes is one good hint/technique that you were able to learn from an OCOUG colleague - and you may be able to save yourself hours of frustration!
1/2 Day Meetings - Our half day meetings should make it easy for our locally based members. Meetings generally run from 8:30 AM till noon and include: a get acquainted meeting @8:30 - 9:00 complete with coffee, orange juice and breakfast goodies followed by two parallel presentations at 9:30 - 10:30 and another two presentations at 10:45 - 11:45. Thereafter we award door prizes! Go to the Calendar page for further details.
Door Prizes - Oracle Trial Software, other vendor supplied software, gift certificates, book certificates, Dilbert collectibles (go Dilbert!) and miscellaneous vendor supplied goodies are constantly awarded at our meetings!
Newsletter - The OCOUG newsletter is currently our flagship communications tool with our membership. It is published quarterly, approximately two weeks prior to our regular meetings and contains detailed information on the upcoming meeting including topics, speakers, speaker profiles, meeting dates and times. Additional columns include the President's message, Oracle press releases and detailed technical articles. Corporate members are allowed three mailings of the newsletter. Visit the Archives for past newsletters.
